RELIANCE FOUNDATION

“Everyone has a role in building an enabling environment so that women and girls can thrive and achieve their potential. Recently, Reliance Foundation Founder- Chairperson Nita Ambani put it quite simply, saying 'Let girls choose'. She was speaking during WPL (Women's Premier League), of girls who show spirited talent through sports, but this simple statement captures the vision behind what we are trying to do at Reliance Foundation for women across India. Our range of initiatives aim to give women and girls the power of choice, enhance their quality of life and ensure that they are enabled on a journey of equality. We work to strengthen the rural landscape focusing on women's livelihoods, their entrepreneurship capabilities and knowledge of enabling technologies to empower them.

By enhancing capabilities of women social sector leaders across different domains, too, we aim to in turn, catalyse transformational social change.

By encouraging and enabling girls in sports, from the grassroots level to the global level we are rooting for an ecosystem of sporting aspiration and excellence. Our educational initiatives find and bridge a range of barriers from access to educational facilities to aspirational innovative mentoring. Most of all, as women are increasingly shaping our nation in a multitude of ways, every single day, Reliance Foundation believes this to be an absolutely integral part of the Community Engagement Capital."

- Jayashree Balasubramanian, Head - Communication, Reliance Foundation
